Our National Philanthropy
Theta Phi Alpha Foundation
The Theta Phi Alpha Foundation manages the Fraternity's educational and philanthropic aims. Originally founded in 1959 with the express intent of providing educational advantages and opportunities through scholarships, incentives and awards and to carry out the Fraternity's activities in the field of charity, the Foundation has broadened its scope to include supporting all of the Fraternity's educational and charitable goals.
The Theta Phi Alpha Foundation subsidizes educational programming at conventions and conferences, awards scholarships to collegians and alumnae, provides fellowships for leadership training, and raises funds to continue those efforts. The Foundation will continue to identify other Fraternity activities to be supported within IRS guidelines.
The Theta Phi Alpha Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.

The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built
The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built was established in 1993 with homelessness as the cause toward which our philanthropic efforts are directed. This cause allows all sisters, wherever they may be, to be united in our aim and purpose while serving those we feel are most in need in our own community.
Our chapter supports this national philanthropy through support of the Fuller Center in Hammond, volunteering to build houses and also working at the resale store.
Camp Friendship
Camp Friendship provides a week-long summer camp for at-risk children in rural Mississippi. Campers are referred by social workers or case workers and most come from foster homes. Many are under protective services from their own parents. Theta Phi Alpha’s sponsorship of this program provides a camp experience for these children, where they can simply be a kid and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, away from the uncertainty of their daily lives. For their safety and protection, we are unable to show photos of the campers. Theta Phi Alpha sisters across the country provide financial support to the camp so that no camper ever has to pay to attend. We also donate items such as water bottles, pillows, bathing suits, tote bags, art supplies, and toiletries. Theta Phi Alpha sisters also travel to Camp Friendship to serve as camp counselors. At Southeastern, we hold a Camp Out for Camp fundraiser where we have a bonfire and roast s’mores.

Glenmary Home Missioners
Glenmary's work in depressed rural areas of the United States, primarily in the Appalachian states, leads them to distribute food, help with tutoring, and provide a spiritual home to those who desire it.
